Riley and Noah Malone enjoy the quintessential brother and sister relationship. However, since beginning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Peoria Athletic Club just a few months ago, they have also become each other’s primary training partner. Riley is the typical seven year old girl involved in Brownies, competition dance and tumbling. While, six year old Noah, enjoys playing flag football, tumbling and anything involving
camouflage.
Both developed the desire to begin practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after coming to the gym to watch their father, an avid martial artist, train with the team in preparation for an upcoming competition.
In just the short time they have been training, their parents have noticed significant improvements in confidence, social engagement, focus, strength and dexterity.
One reason we, as parents, send our kids to BJJ classes is we feel we must equip our children with the confidence to effectively neutralize the verbal and physical assault of bullies. Their well-being depends on it - and, the great instruction they have Received from Sensei Brad Peplow makes all the difference!
All of this is accomplished in a fun and safe environment! All children are given compliments often, and correction is done in a Careful, caring way - praising Children for the best results!
