Scott Wheeler has been a fixture of Peoria radio for nearly 40 years beginning at legendary Top 40 station KZ93 in the early 1980’s. He also served as Operations Director and air personality for Big Oldies 93.3 that he helped make one of the top Oldies stations in the country. In 2006, he joined Christian Contemporary WCIC where he served as Operations Director, Morning Show Co-Host, and Afternoon Show Co-Host before leaving the station in August of 2015. After a brief “retirement,” he returned to radio doing a morning show from his home in Germantown Hills for “KOOL Oldies” in Southern New England. In July of 2016, he returned to the local airwaves as host of the afternoon show on SuperHits WIRL (1290 AM/102.7 FM). Contributor to Peoria Life since April 2019

John Young has been co-hosting the morning show on Peoria's top-rated Country station 104.9 The Wolf since 2006. Besides entertaining listeners with his special wit and great Country music, John has helped raise thousands of dollars for the kids at St. Jude through the Country Cares for Kids Radiothon.
Through the years, WMBD-TV's Kurt Pegler has covered the Major League Baseball postseason, the NCAA Final Four, PGA and LPGA Tour event, NFL, NBA and NHL games along with NASCAR races. But he still contends his favorite assignments involve reporting stories about the local prep, college and professional athletes in central Illinois.
