Eugene Daniel, co-anchor of WMBD News at 4, 6 and 10 p.m. could easily be called the “hardest working man in broadcasting.” Besides his duties at WMBD-TV, he also holds down a weekend air shift at WCIC-FM, is pursuing a M.Div from Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, IL., and volunteers at St. Paul Baptist Church among many other things!

John Young has been co-hosting the morning show on Peoria's top-rated Country station 104.9 The Wolf since 2006. Besides entertaining listeners with his special wit and great Country music, John has helped raise thousands of dollars for the kids at St. Jude through the Country Cares for Kids Radiothon.

Through the years, WMBD-TV's Kurt Pegler has covered the Major League Baseball postseason, the NCAA Final Four, PGA and LPGA Tour event, NFL, NBA and NHL games along with NASCAR races. But he still contends his favorite assignments involve reporting stories about the local prep, college and professional athletes in central Illinois.

Rik Blade, morning host on 99.9 WWCT and Mid-day dj on 98.5 KISS-FM, is also the father of three boys...which means his weekends are filled with video games, pizza, and computers. Kinda like radio! Meet Rik on today’s edition of “Scott Wheeler’s Airplay!”

An Illinois State University graduate and U.S. Navy veteran, he has won awards from the Associated Press, United Press International, The Illinois News Broadcasters Association, and a regional Edward R. Murrow award.
