Baking with Booze

Duncan Hines recently came out with a Blue Velvet cake mix. With July 4th upon us, I felt that Red Velvet and Blue Velvet sandwich cakes would be the perfect installment for July’s Baking with Booze.
I substituted Pomegranate Vodka for the water in the cake mix in the Red Velvet mix and followed the instructions on the box.
I substituted Blueberry Vodka for the water in the cake ix for the Blue Velvet mix and followed the instructions on the box.
Both were baked in whoopie pie pan for about 15 minutes at 350.
Use your favorite vanilla buttercream or premade frosting to fill once cooled.
