I am honored to serve as an Editor on Peoria Life, a creation of my friend and colleague Tim Johnson.

Your experience here will be contingent upon quality content that is relevant to your needs and interests, entertaining, thought-provoking, and accurate. It is my goal and privilege to help ensure that this site be loaded with valuable material that celebrates, illuminates, and facilitates your understanding and appreciation of the past, present, and future of the Peoria area.

I grew up in Peoria, from kindergarten to 6th grade at Loucks School, then moved to East Peoria from junior high to high school. When I graduated from high school, I traveled to Berkeley, California. Later, I returned to Peoria, IL, moved to Normal, IL, then Waukegan, IL, then Troy, NY and New York City. I have been back in Peoria, IL for the past several years.

My occupation since 1999 is in the realm of internet marketing and web technology. Specifically, I am web content developer, web usability analyst, social media marketing consultant, and frequent contributor of articles at InterBusiness Issues magazine.

I serve on the board of trustees at Peoria Historical Society, contribute marketing consulting for ArtsPartners of Central Illinois, and I am beginning to provide my expertise as a marketing specialist and workshop host for SCORE Peoria, the local chapter of an affiliate of the Small Business Administration.

I enjoy organic gardening and I collaborate with various artists and poets in electronic music projects and computer music composition in my digital audio workstation music studio.

Finally, I am known as the Peoria area "social media photographer", as I like to take photos of stores, restaurants, landmarks, people, and events in my community, and post them to Facebook, GooglePlus, Twitter, and my photoblog Lensing and Shuttering.
