1989: Coach Undefeated 7th grade Baseball at Cocopah Middle School (AZ)
1992: All STATE ASA Softball Tournament MVP
2007: Coached Trewyn Middle School (Peoria)  8th grade Girls Basketball to City Championship
          Coached Trewyn Middle School (Peoria)  7th grade Girls Basketball to 3rd Place
Only coach to ever coach Middle school girls team to championship and 3rd place in same season.

In 20 yrs of coaching 500 basketball games at Middle School Level.

Brian Hulin is now the Monday Morning Sports Desk Host for Breakfast with Roger & Friends.

 

Brian is a lifelong resident of Peoria, having graduated from Woodruff High School in 1983. He was Who Who is HS in 1982. He participated in athletics all 4 years at Woodruff, and lettered 4 yrs in Baseball, 4 yrs in Football, 2yrs in Basketball, and 1 yr in Wrestling. Brian was a varsity baseball player for 3 yrs of high school and was a pitcher for WHS where he started 25 games in his career.

After Graduation he went to Eastern Illinois University. During his Fr. season he experienced an injury which sent Brian home after 1 semester. He went to ICC and played for the Cougars while completing his Associates Degree in 1986. During this time, Brian volunteered at Woodruff HIGH as a Football Coach and Basketball Coach.

"I continued my Education at Eastern Illinois University. While at EIU, I was part of EIU basketball team as a Team Manager-Video Coordinator. This is where I decided to GET SERIOUS ABOUT COACHING"!

Brian spent a semester under the guidance of Head Coach Rick Samuels. He spent 1 yr in Arizona as a Student Teacher at Reciprocol of ASU-EIU and he coached a 7th grade team at Cocopah Middle School to an undefeated season (1989). He completed his Degree in 1989.

Brian's family consists of: Mother- Kay, Father- Jim Hulin (Deceased), a Brother- Roger, and a Sister- Rachelle. Brian's parents met at Richwoods HIGH and were part of the first graduation class at RHS. His Grandparents Bob Warner (Deceased) and Lucille (Gansch) Warner went to Woodruff and graduated 75 yrs ago. Lucille Warner is still living and 92yrs young! Way to go Grandma!
