Running Central is owned by Adam and Marie White. Now the nations largest independently owned running shoe store. It is more of a movement more than just a shoe store. They host runs and events that have changed the landscape of fitness in the Peoria Area.
Mike McCoy talks about the creation of St Jude and St. Jude Runs. The St. Jude Runs, co-founded by Mike McCoy and Gene Pratt in 1982, is a relay-style event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Runners begin their journey from St. Jude in Memphis, Tennessee, or one of 39 satellite communities, all concluding in Peoria.
Jason Parkinson of OneFire: Technology is improving our everyday lives. The problem is that as a society, we are taking advantage of the advancements that have been made, and not recognizing their significance. To solve this problem, we must understand that a simple piece of technology that improves a small part of our life, may drastically improve the life of someone else.
