Roger Monroe

Roger Monroe, who owns his own advertising and marketing agency, is an experienced broadcaster who was Sports Director for the Armed Forces Radio Network (AFN) based in Frankfurt, Germany. AFN had an estimated audience of 45-50 million. A former Vice President of Corporate Communications for Methodist Medical Center in Peoria for 25 years, Roger produces a weekly cable television show on health, and writes a monthly column called Straight Talk in the Community Word newspaper. He has worked at several Illinois radio stations as a disc jockey, news director, sales manager and program director. A graduate of Bradley University with B.S. and M.A. degrees in Communication, Roger has taught Communication and Broadcasting at Illinois Central College and Bradley University and served 22 years as a member of the Peoria County Board.
