Mass media has been important to building progressive communities since the first poster was painted onto cave walls. We are here to record the now, and soon history of now, in Peoria! To tell the stories of our city and region. To share the value of living in and loving the place we call home. To provide more avenues for businesses to inform and promote.
Peoria Life, founded in 2011 by Tim Johnson, recalls the building of a great little place next to the Illinois River that spawned greatness in agriculture, distilling, manufacturing, and entertainment.
Where the written remembrances of giants, such as Caterpillar, and Richard Prior are next to folklore, we are here to raise the common names to the same heights and celebrate them as they rise.
We realize the value in humility and shared perspectives; where we purposely give room in public discourse to viewpoints not our own and work to reach understanding and shared purpose in the growth of our city.
We believe that it takes, \u2018...all kinds of KINDS...\u2019 to showcase the heart and soul of our region; and that the door should be open to allow the reasoning of opinion and communal discourse to settle our differences and set OUR plans for the future.
We know that these are only aspirations and dreams without the heartfelt commitment it takes to be available to usher them in. We invite you to join us in the Peoria Life Collective, to help us bring these to fruition. Add your voice in support of your local creative arts.
